Why You Must Apply for JAMB Change of Institution

We are explaining this separately because of some messages we received recently. Some candidates are asking us if they must change their institution if they want to just change their course. Let us answer this. In the JAMB change of course and institution form, you can decide to change just the course and still maintain the same course.

However, if the new course you want to choose is not available in that institution, you will have to change that institution too. The same goes for change of institution.

If you want to carry out change of institution on JAMB website and the course you desire is not available in the new institution of your choice, you may have to settle for another course by choosing one of those available in the school.

The reasons includes:-

Incomplete O’level Results: Often time, prospective students may apply for courses they do not have the required O’level results for.

Such occurs when, for instance, a students with a pass in Chemistry applies for admission into Biochemistry. When noticed, such candidate (even with a high JAMB score) will be advised on related courses that his/her O’level result(s) can secure. Our experts know this better than anyone else!

The 2015 JAMB change of course/institution can only be effected by JAMB Authorised registration centres alone. Meaning, it can’t be done by cybercafes or business centres or individuals not certified by JAMB.
